Analytics Platform
OVERVIEW
DoubleVerify's 'Pinnacle' is both an advertising analytics and a campaign management platform.
The performance tool evaluates the quality of each impression delivered and the net result of each quality measure, informing the client of their advertising performance. DV Performance also pinpoints underperforming areas at the inventory source.
The campaign blueprint tool simplifies campaign setup to create brand profiles with ease, to manage lists and tags seamlessly, and to provide quality control.
MY ROLE
Lead full end to end interface design: research, information architecture, mockups, wireframes, user testing, and implementation from sandbox to production. Collaborate with product managers and engineers via SCRUMs. Fix bugs via JIRA tickets from clients. Meet with sales & business team to determine effectiveness of design.
CHALLENGE
Initially, the performance UI was simply tabs of data tables with a hodgepodge of metrics. It was hard to navigate to the important ones and also difficult to tell whether you were performing well or need improvement. There was too much information presented to the user all at once.
IMPROVEMENT
Group into simple, logical tabs. Shift large data reports to their own section to be downloaded as needed. Create "big picture" dashboards for industry benchmarks, ad engagement, and insights.
CAMPAIGN BLUEPRINT
CURRENT STATE
Blueprint lacked a consistent style from page to page - from the header, to section design, the error message etc. were all coded slightly differently. It needed a uniform message and the ability to have every action flow seamlessly from one area to the next.
SOLUTION
Architecture documentation of the platform, every major user action, a style guide, mockup of the style guide applied to the campaign creation pages.
